Back into the World

We've had a few fine days recently so we packed up our kid, carrier, diaper bag, camera and various paraphernalia and headed out into the world. Victoria, who left a few days ago, joined us on our perambulation around our neighborhood, Sullivan's Gulch.

The following day we made a more ambitious outing to OHSU, the hospital where Aurelia works and where Sylvia was born. Once there we were again surrounded by the same kind and talented people who had made our birth experience such a positive one. And this time no one was wearing a hospital gown (Aurelia), being born (Sylvia), or screaming and crying out for pain medication (me).

Now we head into another transition as I go back to work. The blog may not come as fast and furious as it has for the past two weeks but I promise that the dinner table will never be quiet for long.

  1. Dewd, the kid is super cute! Have you slept yet? I got ten hours last night. Bwahahahahahahaha!

Okay, enough with the sadism. The baby is mighty purty. I see she has her pop's hair. Not his facial hair fortunately. And how cool that she's got Billy Shakes writting iambic pentameter to her! Now that's groovy. Good on ya for going with cloth. We have friends doing the same but I'm not sure I can talk the Lenster into it. Personally I think once you've dealt with the poop, what dif does it make if its cloth or plastic?

I can't believe Timber Jim is retiring! I'm quite devastated. Is he going for one more season, I hope? Or was that his final game? That's like Johnny Pesky retiring! He can't retire!

Love to Aurelia and the wee one. (and you too) Bok!
