Many Costumes and Dessert

Through the generosity of some uber fans back in the home country (i.e. Boston) Sylvia is now part of the Red Sox Nation. She spent a day sporting her allegiance to bean town and believes the Sox need to strengthen their bullpen prior to their clash with the Spankees on July 25th. Since baseball is a sport of summer and fall, Sylvia has also scored a Red Sox jacket that she will don when the playoffs begin. Of course, being an independent free thinker she may, in time, decide to give her heart to the Portland Beavers or Timbers. Whatcha gonna do?

Aurelia, being neither a Red Sox, Timbers or Beavers fan, has continued our tradition of weekly excursions out on the town. Last week we struck out East to Mount Tabor Park which, despite being only three miles from our house, sports one of only two dormant volcanos in the country to exist within city limits. (The other is in Bend...boring). The park is also contains one of Portland's drinking water reservoirs which made a fine backdrop to the a daddy/baby snapshot.

Warning...Warning!
Unnecessarily cute pictures to follow.

Being a boy I don't always understand the needs of my wife and child. Somewhere along the way it was determined that a floral headband was required and that it should end up on Sylvia's head. What follows are the consequences.

Unnecessary picture of a dessert we found
at Jaciva's on Hawthorne.
Chocolate mousse in a chocolate tulip.

To top it off, one fine evening when the temperature was about 80, Sylvia found time to wear her sauciest onesie that declares, "Sorry boys, I only date Rockstars." . Personally, I'm not ready for her to date anyone and Rockstars will have to wait until she's at least 2 (plus 40...ahem).

  1. OMG, the first floral headband picture is the funniest I have seen in quite awhile. I put it up on one of the computers at work and everybody keeps asking who the cute baby is. Hope all is well. Love, auntie V.
