Early Heatwave
We've covered the entire range of Oregon weather in the past week. When Nana Linda, Ted and Ian arrived in Portland it was a crisp 50 degrees and a sprinkling of rain. As the week progressed the city grew warmer and on Friday we hit a record 95 degrees. Ted, always up for a bit of time on the links, braved the heat and managed to get 18 holes in by 2pm. I cowered at work, sitting by the air conditioner, while my wife and child and family sweltered in our 105 year old house that tends to exaggerate current weather conditions.
Ian has come to stay with us for a while, taking residence on the second floor with his yerba mate and bombilla, and announced his arrival with a mighty fine chicken noodle soup that brought the gang to the table. Linda took advantage of the meal for some face to face time with the little one.

As the week heated up we spent The heat meant we spent a lot of time in the backyard chatting, cooking meals, eating meals, and bouncing up and down in canvas chairs (Sylvia's new specialty).

I'm lovin' the blog, Miguelito! Keep up the good work. Sylvia is such a cutie.
