Visit from Linda-Part 2

Saturday night the three of us decided to get a little crazy and check out Miz Kitty's Parlour, a local old timey vaudeville act. Miz Kitty, who plays the banjo for the local "Flat Mountain Girls," gets all gussied up and mc's a broad range of acts that range from rope tricks to belly dancing. It's all takes place in the Mission Theater, one of the McMenamin's establishments, so the beer flows like wine (which always improves the reception of the broad humor and slapstick). I forgot my camera so no pictures. You'll just have to imagine what goes one when acts like "Leapin' Louie Lichtenstein the Rope Swinging Stilt Walking Mad-Man" and "Yasmira the Tempting Swirly Bellydancer" hit the stage.

Sunday found us in the Pearl district, checking out Cargo, a store that has everything that is imported and decorative...and difficult to find a use for.

Linda's visit was short but achieved its primary goal of letting her meet the grand-bump and drop of the first airlift of bibs. The second airlift is scheduled soon.
